About Me
“It always seems impossible until it’s done”
I am a final-year Electrical Engineering student at Istanbul Technical University, where I am also pursuing a minor in Physics Engineering. My coursework, projects, and research are connected by an interest in applying physics and engineering principles to understand complex systems and develop simpler solutions.
My interest in science during high school led me to Richard Feynman's Surely You’re Joking, Mr. Feynman!. The book deepened my curiosity about how physicists think and approach problems. During my first year at university, I began working with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ozan Sarıyer, which gave me an early opportunity to experience how scientific research works. This work also helped me improve my programming, modelling, and simulation skills.
In the future, I want to explore how quantum systems could be integrated into power-electronic technologies. I am also interested in control problems, particularly how reinforcement learning could improve system control, optimization, and training efficiency.
Outside engineering, I enjoy photography, watching films and TV series, occasionally going for runs, and following Grand Slam tennis, particularly Roland-Garros and Wimbledon. My reading choices depend on my mood and may include history, philosophy, science, poetry, especially Walt Whitman, cooking, or whatever subject has recently caught my attention.
